Avril Lavigne Relaxes in Facing Conspiracy Theories About Her Being Dead and Replaced by a Woman Named Melissa Vandella
Know Your Idol – There is one strange conspiracy theory that has been haunting Avril Lavigne. It is said that the original singer of “Sk8er Boi” actually died, not long after his debut album was released in 2003. So, what has been appearing before the public is a body double or a figure who looks exactly like herself, named Melissa Vandella. This woman was previously recruited to trick the paparazzi, in order to protect the reclusive Avril Lavigne. This theory is so popular that it has its own page on Wikipedia.
Avril Lavigne herself has also known about this conspiracy theory for a long time. Reporting from E! News, Thursday (16/5/2024), he discussed this theory again when he was a guest star on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
“Of course I am myself,” said the 39-year-old woman with a laugh. “(The rumors) are really stupid,” he said.
However, rather than worrying about this, Avril prefers to respond positively.
“It’s just funny to me. “On the one hand, people say, ‘You’re exactly the same as before, you haven’t aged a bit.’ But there are other people who (believe) in the conspiracy theory that I’m not me,” said the Canadian singer.
He continued, “I don’t think that (the rumors) are negative. It’s not scary at all.”
