First Look at David Corenswet as Superman

Know Your Idol – Finally what Superman fans have been waiting for has appeared: the appearance of the superman, now played by David Corenswet. The first portrait of the 30-year-old actor as Superman was shared by James Gunn, who directed the new superhero film, on Instagram. In the photo shared on May 6 2024, David is seen sitting on the sofa while wearing red Superman boots. In the background, there is a city atmosphere, with strange pink highlights.

Variety noted that one of the things that fans immediately noticed was Superman’s costume which looked dirty, even worn in some parts. Allegedly, these are the remains of a fight fought by Clark Kent’s alter ego. Deadline also highlighted the dirty-looking new Superman costume, a departure from Superman’s previous appearances. This media suspects that this is an indication that James Gunn is taking a unique new approach in presenting this character.

“Get ready. #Superman 7.11.25,” wrote James Gunn in the caption, referring to this year’s release date next year.

The film entitled Superman FOR4D – which was previously titled Superman Legacy – has announced its cast.
