Angelina Jolie Withdraws from Hollywood, Moves from the US to Southeast Asia

Know Your Idol – Shocking news came from Angelina Jolie who said she planned to leave Hollywood for a quieter life abroad. The megastar told the Wall Street Journal that he wanted to move from his home in California, United States (US) to Southeast Asia.

This 48 year old woman said that there was not much that tied her to America. He considers his closest friends to be “refugees”.

“I wouldn’t be an actress today. When I first started out, I didn’t really expect to be public and share things. Because I grew up in Hollywood, I was never impressed by that. I never thought it was meaningful or important.” Jolie said.

“I would move if I could. Of all the places in the world, Hollywood is not a healthy place. So you look for authenticity. I realized my closest friends are refugees. Maybe four out of six women I’m close to come from war and conflict.” continued the Oscar winner in the film GIRL, INTERRUPTED (1999).

1. Heading to Cambodia
Jolie, who currently lives in a $25 million mansion in Los Feliz, Los Angeles, already owns a home in Cambodia. The residence is a remote property in Battembang that he bought in 2002.

The actress, who has long been known for her humanitarian work, fell in love with the country two decades ago while filming the film LARA CROFT: TOMB RAIDER in 2001. Jolie returned to Cambodia a year later to adopt her first child, Maddox, who is now 22 years old.
