Coldplay Will Release Moon Music Album October 4 2024

Know Your Idol – Coldplay will release their latest album entitled Moon Music on October 4 2024. Moon Music is Coldplay’s 10th album and the band’s latest release after Music of the Spheres (2021). The news of the release was confirmed by Coldplay through an announcement released on social media and the rock band’s official website.

“Coldplay have just announced the release of their highly anticipated 10th album, Moon Music,” said Coldplay on their official website.

“The recording will be available in stores and streaming services on October 4, 2024,” the announcement continued.

In this announcement, Coldplay also shared the official Moon Music album poster. The album poster shows a portrait of a blue sky with colorful glows that resemble the shape of a crescent moon.

This latest project will also continue Coldplay’s commitment to environmental issues. This commitment is proven through the production of Moon Music’s physical releases which use recycled plastic bottles made from waste.

The physical release production material is said to prevent the production of more than 25 metric tons of virgin plastic and reduce production process emissions by 85 percent compared to traditional vinyl production FOR4D.

“This will be the world’s first album to be released on a 140g EcoRecord LP, with each copy made from 9 recycled PET plastic bottles recovered from post-consumer waste,” Coldplay said.

The release of Moon Music will also begin with the first single entitled feelslikeimfallinginlove which will be launched on June 21. Meanwhile, Moon Music was again produced by Max Martin. He previously also produced the album Music of the Spheres (2021) which shot to fame thanks to the songs Higher Power to My Universe.

Martin has also hinted at this project several times over the past year. In January 2023, he said that Coldplay was close to completing the second album in the Music of the Spheres series. He also said that Coldplay could potentially perform their newest songs live at various concerts FOR4D.

Meanwhile, Coldplay is recorded as having released nine albums since their debut in the late 1990s. The band first rose to fame when they released the album Parachutes (2000) with hit singles such as Yellow and Sparks.

They then released several hit albums over the last almost three decades. For example, A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), X&Y (2005), Mylo Xyloto (2011), A Head Full of Dreams (2015), and Music of the Spheres (2021).
