Met Gala 2024: Zendaya Looks Dramatic and Eye Catching in Two Different Outfits
Know Your Idol – Zendaya is back to steal the attention of the 2024 Met Gala red carpet, after almost five years of not attending the Met Gala. Now the arrival of the top actress has rocked the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Not just an ordinary guest star, Zendaya appeared as co-chair for the first time at this year’s Met Gala. In accordance with the title of the dress code, namely “The Garden of Time”, Zendaya ensured that her dress was complete and in line with the theme FOR4D.
The ‘Euphoria’ actor teamed up with stylist and close collaborator Law Roach to deliver two timeless stylish looks that will go down in Met Gala fashion history. Launching Harper Bazaar, Tuesday (7/5/2024), in her first outfit, Zendaya appeared as a fairy tale villain in an extraordinary Maison Margiela Artisanal dress by John Galliano. To achieve this look, Zendaya wore a 1999 Dior gown. This one off shoulder gown featured a long trumpet skirt covered in diagonal stripes in royal blue and emerald green.
Uniquely, the dress is decorated with fruit-like decorations that hang down one side of the waist. Meanwhile, for facial make-up, Zendaya uses very bold make-up FOR4D. This dramatic makeup style. It can be seen from the dark eyeshadow with a touch of red. Her eyebrows were made in a line, but it didn’t take away from the dramatic side of her eyes, then perfected by using dark red lip gloss with a hint of brown.
It didn’t stop there, Zendaya once again graced the Met Gala FOR4D wearing a magnificent black dress. His presence shocked the public, because he appeared again at the end of the night. The 27-year-old actress wore a strappy corset gown with long off-the-shoulder sleeves adorned with structured peplum lines, as well as a huge skirt that almost covered the length of the Met steps.
The dress is a 1996 creation from John Galliano’s Grantchy era. Her dark outfit was enhanced by a bouquet of flowers wrapped in black tulle, combined with a head piece designed by Philip Treacy for Alexander McQueen in 2006.
Different from the previous make-up, in this black dress Zendaya only uses natural make-up with blonde eyebrows. The lipstick FOR4D is much more nude and only focuses on the curl of the eyelashes. The makeup is enough to balance Zendaya’s outfit and headdress which is already in the spotlight and makes it not overdone.
