Wearing a dress inspired by a Botticelli painting, Ariana Grande is like Tinkerbell at the Met Gala

After she had been absent from attending the Met Gala since 2018, now the singer is back at one of the most prestigious events in the world. Appearing at the Met Gala, Ariana Grande looked beautiful in an outfit by the Spanish luxury fashion house, Loewe. The singer of the hit End of The World wrapped her tiny body in a Loewe bustier dress made from pearls.

Ariana also completed her look with a pleated skirt made of layers of silk chiffon which made it even more stunning. The appearance of the singer of the song ‘We Can’t Be Friends’ when attending the 2024 Met Gala was again styled by her old stylist, Mimi Cuttrell. Launching Teen Vogue, Tuesday (7/5/2024), Mimi Cuttrell revealed that using a bustier made of pearls really made Ariana shine even more. Mimi revealed that Ariana Grande’s outfit was inspired by two paintings by the Italian painter, Sandro Botticelli FOR4D, entitled The Birth of Venus and Primavera’s Three Graces.

“I immediately drew inspiration from Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus and Primavera’s Three Graces,” says Mimi.

He saw a different side of beauty and a soft feminine touch in the two paintings.

“I love the whimsical beauty and subtle femininity of both paintings,” he adds.

Departing from this concept, this dress is presented which provides beauty as well as a feminine side when worn by Ariana. Apart from that, Mimi also mentioned that pearls were the birthstone of the 30-year-old singer.

“Pearls are also Ariana’s birthstone, which makes her look even more special,” continued the stylist.

In order to realize this luxurious dress, the stylist worked with jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz FOR4D to further enhance Ariana’s appearance with luxurious jewelry.

“We worked with Lorraine Schwartz to create custom earrings that complemented her look, with 14 carat pear-shaped diamonds and 8 carat white opals,” explains Mimi.

Ariana Grande managed to captivate thousands of eyes who watched her return to the Met Gala. Her blonde hair was left in one ponytail and wings were added to her eyes like the Tinkerbell fairy character.
