Rapper Killer Mike Arrested by Police at the 2024 Grammy Awards
Know Your Idol – Rapper Killer Mike was reportedly arrested by police at the 2024 Grammy Awards. The musician was arrested by the authorities while the awards event which was held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles was still ongoing. This surprising news was revealed from information conveyed by Hollywood Reporter reporter Chris Gardner via a post on the X account. Chris is known to be at the location of the 2024 Grammy Awards.
“Breaking: Rapper Killer Mike was handcuffed at the Crypto.com arena (where the 2024 Grammy Awards took place),” said Gardner in X.
At the moment of the arrest, continued Gardner, someone shouted ‘Free Mike’ while Mike and the police officers continued to walk out of the event location. From the video he shared, the musician looks cooperative when the police escort him.
Not long after, Gardner gave the latest news. According to him, Mike was not arrested because of a serious problem. He also confirmed that the case involving this 48-year-old man was not related to the 2024 Grammy Awards. It is suspected that Mike will soon be released.
“Just talking to an officer, he told me that (Killer Mike’s arrest) was (related to) a misdemeanor and had nothing to do with anything that happened here in the arena,” Gardner explained in the Uproxx report.
“Most likely Mike will be released once everything is sorted out. It’s not a big deal,” he added.
On the other hand, Killer Mike himself has won three trophies at the 2024 Grammy Awards. These include Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performances for the song Scientists & Engineers, as well as Best Rap Album for Michael.
