Sylvester Stallone Approves Ryan Gosling to Become the New Rambo
Know Your Idol – Sylvester Stallone admits he wants Ryan Gosling to replace him as Rambo if the iconic character is made into a film again in the future. He revealed that this desire arose after meeting Gosling at a dinner some time ago. At that moment, Ryan Gosling is said to have expressed his closeness to Rambo.
“He keeps saying that he has a lot of affiliation with Rambo. And I think this is interesting,” said Stallone in an interview on The Tonight Show.
“If I were to pass the baton, I would pass it on to him because he loves the character,” he continued. However, Stallone admitted that this desire was just a personal opinion. He cannot guarantee that these wishes will be in line with the wishes of the other parties.
Sylvester Stallone also joked that this wish could be rejected because Ryan Gosling was considered too handsome to be Rambo.
“I would say yes, but I don’t know if anyone would say, ‘Hey, he’s too handsome to be Rambo,'” Stallone said.
Previously, Ryan Gosling often expressed his love for Sylvester Stallone and Rambo. In 2011, he said that the first Rambo film, First Blood (1982), made him feel like the main character. This made Gosling bring a knife to school, then act as if Rambo was facing an enemy with a knife.
“I also thought my face looked like Sylvester Stallone, so I put a lot of knives into a Fisher-Price Houdini magic toy,” said Gosling.
“I took it to school the next day, then threw it at all the kids at recess,” he continued.
