Jonathan Majors Disappointed Kang Replaced by Dr. Doom for Avengers 5 Starring Robert Downey Jr
Know Your Idol – Hollywood actor Jonathan Majors recently expressed disappointment that his role as Kang the Conqueror in the film Avengers 5 was removed and replaced by Dr. Doom will be played by Robert Downey Jr, the actor who previously played Iron Man. In fact, Marvel Studios changed the title of the film Avengers 5 from Avengers: The Kang Dynasty to Avengers: The Doomsday. Jonathan Majors expressed disappointment mixed with heartbreak in an interview.
“Yes, I’m heartbroken. Of course… I love him, I love Kang. Even though Dr. Doom is of course evil,” said Jonathan Majors.
Jonathan Majors’ statement is reasonable. The reason is, Kang The Conqueror was previously going to be included in the film Avengers: Secret Wars. Now Victor von Doom aka Dr. Doom replaced Kang for the sixth Avengers film.
Jonathan Majors’ opinion regarding joining the RDJ
Asked about the recruitment of Robert Downey Jr (RDJ) for a different role to replace another character, Jonathan Majors chose to answer carefully.
“I think it’s fair that Mr. Downey was greeted with patience, curiosity and love, and that Miller (Ezra Miller) got the same treatment. And that they were allowed to work and be creative at that level… I don’t really understand that, ” said Jonathan Majors.
Signs that Kang will appear again
Even though Kang’s role in the film Avengers 5 has been shifted, that doesn’t mean Kang’s character will be removed from the Marvel story. Majors still has the desire to appear again as Kang. He is of course ready if that is what fans and Marvel want in the future.
“Of course (still want to play Kang). If that’s what the fans want, if that’s what Marvel wants, let’s continue!” concluded Jonathan Majors.
