Marvel Wonder Man Series Crew Dies on Filming Location
Know Your Idol – A tragic and fatal accident occurred on the set of the Marvel series which was about to enter production, Wonder Man. Deadline reported that a staff member at the shooting location died because he fell from a rafter. From information from the Los Angeles Police or LAPD, the crew was identified as 41 year old Juan Carlos Osorio. Deadline reported that when this unfortunate incident occurred, the man was preparing the shooting location, but there was no shooting schedule.
The LAPD is not treating this incident as a suspicious incident so far. “There is no suspicion of foul play,” spokesman Charles Miller told CNN. However, the police confirmed that the investigation into this incident was still ongoing. Marvel representatives have also expressed condolences for this accident. “Our prayers and deepest condolences go out to his family and friends,” a Marvel representative told Deadline.
It added that it supports investigations into the circumstances surrounding this accident. They also stated that work safety was the focus of their attention. Wonder Man itself is a Marvel series starring Yahya Abdul Mateen II as the main star. This series will tell the story of Simon Williams, who in the original comics was a rich businessman. However, his company ultimately lost competitiveness to Starks Industries.
Initially, Simon Williams teamed up with the villain Baron Zemo, who gave him ionic abilities, making him incredibly powerful. Even though he initially faced the Avengers, Wonder Man eventually joined these superheroes. Wonder Man reportedly starts filming next month. Filming was hampered by a strike by the actors’ and writers’ unions, SAG AFTRA and WGA. The Wonder Man series was first announced in June 2022. The director of Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Destin Daniel Cretton, was appointed to direct this series.
