Angelina Jolie Plans to Move to Cambodia and Leave Hollywood
Know Your Idol – Angelina Jolie plans to move to Cambodia and hints she wants to quit acting for good. He considered Los Angeles unhealthy so he decided to leave Hollywood immediately. Jolie revealed this in an interview with the Wall Street Journal. On that occasion, she expressed her dislike for Hollywood and said that there was a high probability that she would never become an actress if she entered the entertainment industry today. The 48-year-old Hollywood artist explained that he wanted to move as soon as possible to live in his home in Asia. However, her plans will not happen until her legal problems with ex-husband Brad Pitt find a resolution. Jolie and Pitt started dating in 2005 and married in 2014, but separated two years later in 2016.
Since then, they have been involved in a lengthy seven-year divorce process over custody of their six children. Apparently this problem makes it difficult for the Maleficent film star to live and travel freely.
“That’s part of what happened after my divorce. I lost the ability to live and travel freely. I will move when I can,” Jolie said. “I grew up in a pretty shallow place. Of all the places in the world, Hollywood is not a healthy place. So you look for authenticity,” he continued.
Jolie added that she grew up around Hollywood and was never too impressed by it. He admits that if he started everything from scratch today, he would most likely not choose acting as his profession. This is because his personal life is always revealed and in the public spotlight after becoming a famous person. Jolie also joked that she no longer has a social life and that all her closest friends are refugees. The Oscar winner has worked with the UN Refugee Agency for more than two decades. He visited camps in Cambodia, Tanzania, Sierra Leone, and Pakistan over the years.
“Why do I love spending time with survivors and refugees? They have faced so much in life that it emphasizes not only strength, but also humanity,” he concluded.
